SUNDAY SIMCHA PLAYLIST FEBRUARY 18, 2007

Any comments and/or suggestions please e mail
sundaysimcha@yahoo.com

A rather short list due to our final Sunday of February Pledge Drive. Many thanks for the support shown by the loyal listeners and the listeners who have joined that group this year.

As I said in my comments on the need for the financial support---Keep Yiddishkeit On The Air ---especially in this major area (market). This is the last of the Mohicans (if you will) ---Celtic, Gospel, and Simcha are on WFDU. The only station to present this diversity in this area. There used to be myriad programs of this diversity on the dial.

SO==THANK YOU and also pat yourselves on the back for keeping something you want alive and vibrant. I will not let you down as far as programming is concerned. Just keep our management informed of your wishes. Let me add on a personal note that I rcve comments and e mail from web listeners out in the west of this country (the U S)--do they support the program financially (and are quite able to do so) ---NO. So to them goes my annual SCHNORER Award. Tough award to win-- Congratulations!!! I cannot wait for your acceptance speeches---
Check this spot:

Playlist Sunday SImcha February 4, 2007

Do you want my little grandson (and his mom) not be happy with pledges--he is still smiling---you don't know him. This could change in a second. I will bet that if you pledge to the show he will be happy to see old Grandpa supported and help keep him in this good mood.

Certainly you will notice fewer pieces than usual. It is one of the only fundraising efforts we do each year and it requires me to ask for your support. In all honesty---and it is truly a fact---financial support is the only rating the station has to see what programs stay on the air. The bills have to be paid and the University is not the funder of this station----YOU ARE.

So---my bumper sticker slogan---Keep Yiddishkeit On The Air.

It is up to you. WFDU is the only station in this major area doing a program that was once all over the radio dial. I am honored to be the keeper of the flame---or even the latkes.

Please e-mail me ( sundaysimcha@yahoo.com ) or go online to www.wfdu.fm and pledge on line---best of all---love to hear from you. Call me next Sunday --201-692-2012.

On a positive note---My sincere thanks to our pledgers this week. You were great. We have web listeners and one would think that they would pledge. One I know of---in Colorado--surely gives me suggestions and requests. That is about it for him. Counts his shekels and skis (?) and listens.

The bills still have to be paid so he can hear this material---so--do not be a Schnorer like him---

By the way---an aside---I bet you don't get these comments on the other shows---Gospel, Celtic, C/W, etc;---what do they know from "schnorers". SO--Bumper Sticker Time---Keep Yiddishkeit alive and well on WFDU.

OK today's abbreviated playlist--
