One piece that was supposed to be played for Yom Hashoah that was not aired because of time constraints was aired today. A most moving piece by Curtis and Loretta.

Another featured artist was the well known and respected personality Mare Winningham. A recent convert to Judaism (Conservative) who has written music to commemorate that and published a CD with this work.

Next week, if you tune in, you will find a few comments about Comedy Corner and of one person that will never be aired in that segment---or any other. Given the crassness of so many people polluting the airwaves and having finally been called on it (perhaps for the wrong reasons by the wrong people) and the news being made by such tastelessness and intolerance it just seems appropriate to keep this program---and this station ---WFDU---above such boorishness. It offends civility. It may well not be an FCC issue and, rightfully, should not. Some people and some stations have to uphold some standards of civility. WFDU and its program I think are that safe harbor and will continue to be so.

Tune in next week to find out the well deserving recipient of my fickle finger of fate award for never to be aired on this program. Hint: Author, alleged comic, former Rabbi, and, now, over the top you tube presenter.
