PLAYLIST SUNDAY SIMCHA MARCH 8, 2009

Some requests honored and a nice compliment from one of my guests today on TRADITIONS--James O'Malley. He said he was driving up to this area and was splitting his sides laughing at the Lou Jacobi stories and my take on the parting of the Red Sea. Well, not my take, it was from the book--Born To Kvetch.

Now for a few pictures to put with the voices you heard:

LOU JACOBI (AGE NOW 95---Kine Hora)

JACQUELINE DUPRE

Subject of the film Hilary and Jackie. Sadly---passed away from MS in her early 40s and her music on this program ws to commemorate the women's orchestra at Birkenau concentration camp. She had nothing to do with it but the music did. The orchestra, as you know will be celebrated on March 28 at The Cathedral of St. John the Divine.
