As you are aware from the program that today is my birthday and tomorrow Pete Seeger celebrates his 91st year---and last week he was on stage at The Tarrytown Music Hall ( a review is on the first page) for a very special surprise 50th Wedding Anniversary celebration for a lovely Canadian couple and it was also a benefit for the Guthrie Archives. The surprise---of many --for the evening was the appearance by someone we play regularly here. She is a star in Canada and she, with Loren Sklamberg (Klezmatics) surprised the couple and the audience with the title of the concert---the title song---in Yiddish (translated by the Canadian star--THERESA TOVA) .
