My thanks to Ron Olesko for braving the elements today and putting on a truly interesting and meaningful program. We were supposed to do our annual joint year end program---with no joints involved--but the weather precluded my getting over there and our phone connection did not work as well.
Both Ron and I had put together a list of 10 recordings this past year that we each considered our favorite ones---that is the operative word(s) "our" --perhaps not yours. If you have thoughts of others please let us know and the reasons. We will play them in early January of they are appropriate.
You will see the playlist below---and now I will list my 10 Favorites---Ron's you will see by elimination on the playlist and I also thank him for our year end selection of songs for the new year. I would only have added on other piece---Herdman, Hills, and Mangsen's recording At The Turning of The Year.
One last thing to note---which I will also post on http://www.billhahnprogramnotes.blogspot.com/ the previous page along with some videos of a few perennials ---we have lost some people this year that, unfortunately, were not mentioned today---to my knowledge. So---we mourn the loss of:
