Today's program started with the commemoration of the two holidays that are upon us at the same time and it is good that we are able to celebrate the Judeo/Christian faith and ethic today. One piece I always play on this day is the wonderful Addis and Crofut piece.
You will also find that today we had an interesting mix of some themes---from age and wisdom to the merging of "folk" and Broadway via Sea music.
One last thing of real interest are the pieces by Mare Winningham. Her new CD celebrates her conversion to Judaism. Whether she is serious in this or not I have to say the music she wrote is damned good.
A last comment regarding Curtis and Loretta. That can surely be considered the feature today. Their range of material is amazing.
