As you know we commemorated the "unsinkable" mammoth of the seas on the day of the launching of its abbreviated career--BUT--one piece today so that I might tell you of the rarity that was on board---King Arthur's Round Table. Those who were tuned in now know the story---those who were not do check our archives at http://www.wfdu.fm/ where you also hear some of the great artists we were able to present today along with some memorable moments of nostalgia along with our usual features.
On a personal note--I hope to see you all at the Nanuet Library this coming Sunday for Work O The Weavers---you can still get reservations by calling 845 354-4586
NOW--a totally, unscientific and unofficial poll---up to this date we have -played many great performers and ALSO writers of their own material. Name 3 that are in that category (writing and performing their material) that you consider the best in your opinion. You can comment here or e mail.
Now a question--since I do like to hear from the listeners and also try to honor requests does anyone know why some people call to make requests who obviously do not listen, sound a bit plastered, and cannot understand when told that the best thing is to e mail me and please don't ask for today's alleged "country" artists(?).
OK---venting over one caller over and now some faces to put with today's voices---
An interviewee of some time back---and still memorable---brilliant writer-
How many times can one say one was there at the start? I can and the thrill still has not left me---what wonderful artists they are.
